Day 46: W Lebanon to N Conway

Incredible day of cycling. The day started off a bit foggy as we rolled through Hanover, NH and past Dartmouth College. The ride along River Road was simply stunning. Stopped at a covered bridge for our first van stop. From there we snaked our way NW and over one challenging climb before we got on the Kancamagus Highway. The Kanc was both incredibly scenic and also loaded with traffic. Another long climb to the summit, a fun descent, one last gradual climb and the next thing we knew we were in North Conway. Huge day at over 100 miles and 7.5k feet of climbing. We are now only 67.5 miles away from our goal and all the hardest parts are done and dusted. It should be a fun group dinner tonight in anticipation of our “victory lap” tomorrow.

The magnitude of what we are about to accomplish is starting to become real. I don’t yet know how to top this. What I do know is I am so lucky to have this opportunity, to have done this with a truly amazing group of people and guides, to have had absolutely incredible weather, and to have unbelievable support from Kelly.
