Day 34: Holland to Marshall

Quite a wet day today. I don’t think we ever actually were rained on, but the roads were wet enough that we were soaked most of the day. Luckily, Katie’s family arranged a lunch spot at Gilmore Car Museum. While we didn’t go in the museum, they have a fantastic covered space with a huge fireplace and roll up doors which ended up being absolutely perfect for today’s weather. (They also had real bathrooms which everyone appreciated.) The sun finally came out around mile 80 of 94, so we warmed up and started to dry out before the ride ended. Other than the rain, it was a beautiful ride with lots of fun rollers and a few small hills. Some of the trees are starting to turn colors and actually the rainy conditions helped accentuate the contrast.

No pics today as it was just too wet.

The weather forecast calls for a pretty decent chance of rain all day tomorrow, so the big decision will be how to dress appropriately. Temps should be in the 60s all day. 120 miles on offer; headed to Ohio…
