Day 30: Spring Green to Madison

We’ve been looking forward to this ride for quite a few days, both because it’s much shorter (only 54 miles), and because it’s the last ride before a rest day. Additionally, Kelly’s in Madison so I finally get to see her after a full month apart ❤️

We started out with wet roads, but they dried pretty quickly. Several “violent” but short climbs got us huffing and puffing. Once in Madison, our route circled one of the lakes through an area of beautiful older homes and ended right at the state capitol square where the Trek Travel corporate team had set up a fantastic picking lunch for riders and family.

Before dinner we got a tour of the Trek HQ in Waterloo then had a catered dinner at The Lodge @ Trek Trails. Very fun night indeed.
