Day 24: Oacoma to Mitchell

Today may have been the most fun day of the trip so far. Great weather, fairly flat, and “only 75” miles allowed for an easy day. We started out by crossing the Missouri River (one mile wide), then it was off into the corn, alfalfa, and soybean fields. The group kept things interesting by interacting the entire way. At mile 38 we reached the halfway point of the trip, which is pretty mind boggling. Once we arrived in Mitchell, we made a beeline for the Corn Palace and it did not disappoint! After that, a stop at Culver’s for ice cream and we were one big happy bunch!
