Today started off with perfect weather and roughly 20 miles of slightly downhill, perfect tarmac, and a tailwind…in other words glorious riding conditions. We flew though the first 20 miles with what seemed like only a few pedal strokes. We ran into some wind and hills as the temps increased, but overall it was a fun ride. We saw Devil’s Tower off in the distance, then towards the end of the ride we crossed into our 6th state – South Dakota! The paceline group made the day go by fairly quickly and we followed it up with a great dinner here in Spearfish and ice cream for dessert. One more day until rest day #2!
