Today we had a very welcome respite from the heat, which included on and off drizzle, then full-on rain for the last 5-10 miles. We also said farewell to Washington and hello to Idaho! We haven’t hit the pine forests yet, but we did ride along the Snake River for several miles. I was all over the place today, feeling ok, then strong, then not so great, until things finally clicked about 30 minutes after lunch and I felt really good. Several different pace lines today typically meant the miles went by quickly.
