Well, I’m not going to lie, this was a tough day. The legs are starting to really feel it. I got caught in a steady rain from about 11-Noon. Fortunately, it was warm, so I actually didn’t mind too much, and I mostly fried out by the time I got to Tupelo. There were very few places to stop to refuel, and I made a mistake when I did stop, so I ended up bonking pretty badly around mile 70. I finally found a gas station and downed a huge Gatorade and a Snickers (most gas stations don’t have Clif bars or any other energy bars), which got me to my hotel. Lots of pasta for dinner, so I’m hoping tomorrow goes better…
